Dundee Anarchist Bookfair 2020
Our first event will be on 14th March 2020 at Boomerang Community Centre Dundee. The first event of its kind in recent memory, the Dundee bookfair looks like it’ll be well organised, putting on free childcare, free lunch from 12-2pm from Food Not Bombs Dundee and hot drinks all day for donations. The organisers note: “We’re going to showcase some of the amazing groups doing work in Dundee and have a selection of independent vendors selling literature and zines.
“In the short term, we’re actively trying to connect local activists and groups so we can platform them as best we can with the hope that we’ll be able to help them grow and share lessons learned. Our long term aim is to establish an autonomous space in Dundee and we see this event as a vital part of that process. “
Our programme will run from 11am until 5pm. Full descriptions comming soon

As part of the first-ever Dundee Anarchist Bookfair, we’re putting together a collaborative zine on the topic of anarchism in Dundee and beyond. We want the zine to represent the diversity and creativity of Dundee, and start discussions about building grassroots community resistance. We are feminists, anti-fascists, queers, animal rights activists, environmentalists (the list could go on…) and we know our so-called democracy will never hand us a better world. It’s up to us to find community, take care of each other and defend ourselves. Sure, a zine won’t do all of that but it’s a good place to start.
