(English text below)
For this edition of our 16 mm cinema, we’re screening four of the finest home-grown gems from our collection. We’re not just free, we’re going Dutch! This does mean that the screening is Dutch spoken and not subtitled, but that also means it’s a perfect opportunity to pick up some handy phrases! Doors open at 15:30, the first of four features starts at 16:00. The schedule for the day will be:
16:00: First Feature: A phantom train haunts its passengers in this classic film from 1939, shot on location in Amsterdam.
18:00: Second Feature: The canals of Amsterdam become red with blood when a vicious serial killer strikes (1988).
20:00: Third Feature: A troubled hoodlum from the provinces becomes ensnared in the fashion scene in the city, lashing out with a cheese hatchet (1979).
22:00: Fourth Feature: Surprise screening!
As always, there are free (Dutch) snacks for our loyal audience. Drop by for a single flick or binge a big dose of Dutch cinema history and marvel at the view of our beloved town in the not-so distant past. No entry fee means you always get your money’s worth!
