Spoons #2: Peer support and emotional learning group.
Short url:
After a long and painful history of stigmatization, society is slowly opening up to issues around mental health and psychological disorders. However, there is still a long way to go! While treatment is becoming more and more accessible, stigma and discrimination directed against people who suffer from mental illnesses are still very much present, affecting the lives of many of us for the worse.
For our third meeting, we will address the topic of mental health and stigma, and try to dismantle them together by exploring their origins and consequences. We will also discuss how to deal with stigma when confronted with it.
This group is totally volunteer-run and collaborative so if you'd like to contribute in any ways, do not hesitate to contact us!
