What happens

Zielsverwanten (soul mates) celebrates the Mexican Día de Muertos and the “All Souls' Day from european cultures together in a performance with dance, live music, visual arts and singing.  Dancers, musicians, recital artists from Ongoing perform Zielsverwanten from 8-9pm. Get your early bird tickets here:

Indigenous Network builds the altar to connect with ancestors and cooks traditional Mexican food. After the performance the hall remains open, there is live music, and other small performances to honour and dance together across cultures and with our ancestors.

The cause

The funds raised from the Mexican meals (€15 food + cacao drink, €12.50 food)  and cultural events directly support Iku indigenous communities to buy back and liberate ancestral land within their territory on the Sierra Nevada in Colombia. Videos will be shown between 8-9pm for those missing the Ongoing Performance in the Dokzaal.

If you cannot make the performance but want to come for a delicious solidarity meal that is also welcomed.

Looking forward to celebrating with you!
