eat-girls + Thelma Cappello
Short url:
A bunch of girls from France providing a bunch of cold and gloomy French new sounds at OCCII on January 26th. Prepare for the other side of yourself, this winter with eat-girls’ synthy waves and Thelma Cappello’s experimental sound-proze.
eat-girls is a three-piece band, carefully crafting songs in their apartment. Through many genres, pop, post-punk, minimal synth, kraut, dub, these songs work through their train of thought and, akin to a dream, paint obsessing and intriguing shapes. On stage, Amélie, Elisa and Maxence use their three voices, bass, guitar, synths, computer and various objects to revamp their produced material. Their album Area Silenzio has just been released, listen below…
Thelma Cappello is a Paris based artist and composer whose work spans performance, installation, collages and sound. In her musical productions she narrates the city through poetry, singing, movement, field recordings and a collection of computer altered vocals. Her inspirations range from urban spaces to ancient music, crafting odes and laments for buildings and passions.
