Weekly practice of Modal music.

We will start an open collective workshop/course for modal music, starting with learning Greek “rembetiko” and folk music using the theory of makam.
Our goal is to explore many east - Mediterranean music traditions.

The nature of the course is sharing knowledge with each other about music, improve our skills on our instruments and of course having fun playing music all together.

If you are interested, drop by with any kind of acoustic instrument (string, percussion, wind, even voice). There is no skill/experience requirement to join, only basic understanding of music playing. Therefore we will start with a slow pace. Scores of the songs will be provided every week.
