Lag_networking: world of IP-adresses and protocols

Short url:

https://squ.at/r/7f7o

Third edition of our network series ( presentation/discussion/workshop); we step into the world of IP-Addresses and protocols.

This evening we try to explain and discuss the basics of networking, through interactive and understandable ways. The session will deal with stuff like the OSI-model, IP-Addressing, subnetting and basic protocols.
We would like to understand networks but also to discuss them in broader societal terms, hence no technical background needed. Let's start seeing through this massive and unperceivable infrastructure together..

It will start on 19:00 and the probable end-time is 21:00, to make this evening even more exciting; afterwards LAG is open for laggggging activities.

What better way to explore the magical world of networking than by way
of a map? We'll mostly be discussing the right half of the map, which is
your home network. How do these devices talk to each other and to all
those machines on the Internet? Why do we need those 'Customer Premises
Equipment' devices? You'll know it very soon!
