DOPAMINA
Natalia Imery Almario | 2019 | Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina| 86’ | EN subs
12 years ago, Ricardo, Natalia’s father, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. With this condition, Dopamine is stopped, a neurohormone responsible for the movement on the body and the feeling of happiness. During those years they had a very strong family crisis, and Natalia also told her parents that she liked women. She could not understand why if they were left-wing militants in their youth and fighting for equality and freedom, they couldn’t accept that choice. Today, a decade later, they meet to talk about family ideas, homosexuality, ideological struggles and what the advance of Ricardo’s disease has meant.
