Shevaun Mizrahi | 2017 | Turkey | 70’ | EN subs

Distant Constellation is a poetical documentary, a contemplative essay on time, age, loss and desire. Shevaun Mizrahi visited throughout the years a retirement home in Istanbul; she met the residents and let them speak. The very refined and quiet gaze of this film achieves an enchanting sensibility for the human experience, an acceptance of time and the cycle of life. This is a beautiful work and it is hard to remain indifferent.

The producer Deniz Buga will be present to talk with us after the screening.
