Pung Jeong Gak is a site specific contemporary dance film by choreographer Joowon Song (South-Korea). In the films Song connects carefully choreographed gestures and urban surrounding of neighbourhoods in Seoul that are sentenced to death in the name of urban redevelopment. Dancers roam about in the neighborhood or the house like a ghost, remembering the trace of life. Pung Jeong Gak attempts to discover the site’s memories in today’s language and continue conversations about a frail neighborhood in the heart of Seoul, shadowed by the ultra urban.

Introduction and Q&A with director Joowon Song after the film!
