PSYCHOMANIA  1973
Directed by Don Sharp
85 minutes
In English

In this supernatural thriller, a gang of leather-clad bikers terrorize the residents from their small town. The motorcycle gang is lead by Tom Latham, the son of a decadent wealthy old English family with a strong belief in the occult and a well developed practice of 'toad worship'. Tom hears the secret of immortality from his mother and he goes on to make an pact with the devil. If he kills himself and wishes really really hard to return to life, he will survive his fatal ordeal, regain eternal life, and become indestructible. After he succeeds at doing just that, his fellow bikers kill themselves one by one and come racing back from the grave, ready to wreak more chaos than ever, because now they are indestructible.

This cult classic is known as the greatest British 'zombie biker' flick ever made, but to be honest, I don't really know of any others. Set in a world of psychedelic and myth-drenched England, the band of bikers speed across the countryside ready to crush everything hippie. This is another film that verges on the edge of so-bad-its-good, making it an absolute necessity to see this film on the big screen with a lively audience. You can see that contemporary directors like Ben Wheatley took inspiration from this legendary flick.

This will be a high-definition screening.
