Nobody other than the legendary Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni play the leads in this classic Italian film from 1977. The film is set in Rome during one day in 1938, the day Adolf Hitler visited Benito Mussolini. In their empty apartment building housewife Antonietta starts a conversation with neighbour Gabriele, who, unbeknownst to her, was about to commit suicide.
