This experimental silent movie is considered one of the most innovative and influential films of the silent era. It presents the daily life of a Soviet city. The film is famous for the range of cinematic techniques its director Dziga Vertov invented or developed.

The screening (on 35mm!) will be accompanied by a live performance, based on a text by Dziga Vertov himself, with clavichord and spoken word.
