Sander van der Eijk, NL/BE, 2015

A portrait of Eli, aka De Bomen. His music, his obsessions, his frustrations, his passion for nature, his struggle for recognition.

De Bomen - Volksnoise is a documentary about the music and life of Dutch-Flemish underground musician De Bomen. Inventing his own genre of 'volksnoise', a combination of noise and folk music, he is living a life on the edge of civilization. This is a film about music, trees, passion, alienation and survival outside of societys borders.
