Activism can be found in many different forms and expressed in many different ways. Whether it is about posting on social media or demonstrating, activism is personal to everyone. It aims to be fulfilling and speaking up about things that matters that you, things that needs to be changed or needs to be protected. Through activism, bonds are also created; relationships through activism is very important as you meet like-minded people who might share the goals of being an activist.

Whether you consider yourself as an activist or not, come join us in this Sunday’s discussion to discuss the forms of activism, the difficulties of being an activism; all of which can be related to activism.

We wish to bring upon lived experiences and your views on the topic of activism, as well as what actions can we take as individuals. Of course you can also bring your own questions to the discussion!

For this session we will be in a room upstairs, which is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. If you have any needs in order to be able to join this meeting, please let us know and we can discuss what is possible. 

There will be a donation jar and some refreshments available (cash or pin). Please think about donating something if you are able; a place like NieuwLand can only exist through the contributions of volunteers and friends, who know of the importance of places like this, which exist alternative to an individualistic society, capitalist economy and gentrifying neighbourhoods.
