Charis Konstantinou (guitar and vocals) and Jaap Faber (guitar) play "rebetika" from the 1930s, creating an atmosphere more than 100 years old !

Rebetika is urban folk music from Asia Minor and Greece. It is a type of music that is still popular in Greece and has now also won the hearts of many non-Greeks.

The rebetika that Rebet guitarS play are traditional melodies of various composers who were guitarists themselves. The lyrics deal with love, death, illness, prison, drugs; but almost always with an ironic undertone.
