IQMF Series of the Dam'd is a monthly collaboration between Cinema of the Dam'd and the International Queer & Migrant Film Festival. Tonight we are proud to present 2018 Berlinale Teddy Award Winner and 2018 IQMF opening feature Hard Paint.

Young Pedro (Shico Menegat) shares his flat with his sister in Porto Alegre, where he awaits trial for an unnamed crime. Although he rarely ventures outslde, his online alter ego "Neonboy" is famous in videochats, where he smears luminescent paint on his naked body and performs in front of a webcam for a paying audience. When he learns that a rival, "Boy25" (Bruno Fernandes), is stealing his act, he suggests a collaboration. Filipe Matzembacher and Marcio Reolon's drama is a glowing statement on the invisibility of loneliness and the unusual paths to self-liberation. Watch the trailer.
