High school is tough enough as it is. But locker room bullies and playground politics can make life a living hell for some. Hack to School explores what can happen when teens (and teachers) try to fight back against these high school hierarchies with lethal results. These films follow the killer cliques and dangerous delinquents that dominate the locker rooms and lunch halls of the modern high school. We close out our program with an encore screening of the 1988 black comedy classic Heathers.

Westerberg High is ruled under the manicured fist of "The Heathers" a triumvirate of wealthy mean girls, each named Heather. When their sensitive sidekick Veronica (Winona Ryder) starts to challenge the status quo, she finds a dangerous ally in JD (Christian Slater), the rebellious new kid in school. The pair plot to kill the cool kids and install a new social order at Westerberg. But is the school ready for revolution? Michael Lehmann's outrageous black comedy explores the cutthroat corridors of the American high school, where impotent adults leave misfit teens to fend for themselves. With some of the most quotable dialogue in 80s movie history and breakout performances by Slater and Ryder, Heathers is a textbook lesson in high wire high school satire. Watch the trailer.
