We founded the Baionako Gazte Asanblada in 2008, our first public appearance on October 24th 2008, in Patxo. Since then, based on a critical spirit and vision, we have offered young people in Bayonne alternative frameworks and initiatives for reflection. We have from the beginning proclaimed the need for a gaztetxe, but not as a goal, but as a tool to achieve our goals. In July 2013, we occupied the old courthouse in Bayonne and through the negotiations that began in those days, we opened the Zizpa gaztetxe in Bayonne on 23 January 2016. Since then, we have been working on ways that the gaztetxe can provide: creating projects with associations, developing spaces for reflection, strengthening social networks, offering training sessions, holding workshops during the week, video screenings, concerts, talks, carnivals.
