El Manba is a no border collective born in the summer of 2015 as a reaction to the blockade of the French-Italian border. It fights against the oppression experienced by exiled people, initially created by people in a situation of migration as well as people in solidarity.
It is a collective that fights against repressive, anti-migration and racist policies that target migrant people, and that organizes collectively to act: demonstrations, occupations, collective legal complaints... We want to create conditions within the collective that allow people oppressed by borders, whoever they are, to be able to express themselves and organize themselves, to live in freedom and dignity.
It is also a place of resources and information, a space for sharing that places at the heart of its action the practices of mutual aid around issues related to housing, papers, health, language learning or any other area of life, with the aim of organizing collectively so that everyone can acquire the means of self-defense and emancipation: legal commission, housing commission, French courses, cooking workshops, self-managed daycare, spaces for rest and sociability, discussion groups...
Our space is located at 8 rue Barbaroux, in the 1st district (Église des Réformés). Do not hesitate to come to our General Assembly on Tuesday at 6:30 pm to meet us, to try to build with us new forms of struggle and self-organization and to propose your desires and ideas.
Also, to get involved in the various spaces proposed such as the legal permanence, French courses, the "garderie enfants" or other permanence.

A little history... on October 17, 2015, Al Manba 1, located at 180 rue Horace Bertin, is organizing a big open day. This former disused garage has been collectively occupied and wants to be a step to rest on the way for the migrant. Al Manba 2, located at 49 rue Chape, is evicted on April 6, 2016. Al Manba 3, rue Bel Air, is evicted on April 12, 2016. The continuation takes place at the local Al Manba, 8 rue Barbaroux.
