OUT OF FASHION - all-day sustainability event, 10am until midnight

Our aim is to provide an alternative to "fast fashion" and raise awareness about environmental issues within the fashion industry. Through a variety of workshops, talks, and the clothing swap, we hope to both encourage and empower people to engage with fashion in a new way. By upcycling, sharing, swapping, mending, and altering clothes, we can shift attitudes towards "made to treasure," reduce waste, and forge more personal connections with the items we wear.

Exchange preloved garms you no longer wear for some new-to-you gems in the fashion swap. Our motto is "bring the quality you expect to find" - swap something you would be proud to give to your friends. It's not an upgrade, it is a circular trade for equal worth.
Wash all items for hygienic reasons and as a courtesy to your fellow swapper, and check them in to be swapped before 3pm. If you have ripped clothes bring them anyway, even if you're not swapping them you can learn how to mend and fix them in our workshop area!

Program

• courtyard: art jam in the courtyard from 10am, bring your paint and spray cans, we'll provide the wood panels. 2.30pm hoolahoop workshop. campfire from 6pm onwards
• main space: clothing swap from 12pm. movie "True Cost of Living" at 1pm. anti-capitalist fashion show at 4:20pm. art exhibition "War is Illegal"
• workshop area: fixing/mending clothes, knitting, upcycling, facepainting, tarot readings
• Rain Room: Full of colour and variety all shapes and sizes of live music with visual projection art showcased. 6:30 - 11:30. Bring an umbrella it is going to get wet in here with performances from
