Kritische Orientierungswochen an der HU

102 years ago, an insurrection took place in Berlin. With the general strike of November 9, 1918, workers toppled the Kaiser and ended the First World War. Thus began the November Revolution. Millions of people took to the streets to fight for an end to capitalism. But the Social Democratic Party allied with the imperial military to drown the revolution in blood.

In the year of the uprisings 102nd anniversary, we will visit the spots where Rosa Luxemburg, Karl Liebknecht, Richard Müller, and countless proletarians in the German capital changed the history of the world.

Our tour will be meeting at the Humboldt statue in front of the main building of the HU (Unter den Linden 6). We will meet at 16:00 and leave by 16:10. We will not be using public transportation — the tour is completely outside.

The tour will end two hours later at Mehringplatz (close to U-Bhf Hallesches Tor).

Die Kritischen Orientierungswochen sind eine von linken Studierenden organisierte Veranstaltungsreihe, die sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, den Raum Universität von links zu (re)politisieren. Gleichzeitig richtet sie sich an jüngere Semester und will diesen den Einstieg ins Studi-Leben erleichtern, sowie die Möglichkeit eröffnen, an der Uni politisch aktiv zu werden.
