Let's analyse Colombia's political context, with a focus on the role of social movements during the national strikes and protests from 2019 to 2021. The discussion will emphasise how cultural agents, by bridging the arts and cultural spaces, played a crucial role in these mobilisations. Special attention will be given to how the creation and participation in such spaces became key practices for defending human rights and reclaiming the streets, with music being a key part of this dynamic.

There will be a film screening of "El Estallido" (30 minutes) followed by some time for discussion.

There will then be an acoustic live performance of spanish anarchist songs and latin-american social folklore by Colombian surf rock'n'rollers "Los Fucking Surfer Smokers".

Being a Sunday things will kick of early at 5pm, and wrap up in time for people to still get a good night's sleep :)

There will be food as well as an infostall/distro with zines etc for donation, please feel free to bring cash along.
