The Peoples Want internationalist gathering is back for a 5th edition in
Marseille on 26th and 27th October.

These internationalist gatherings were initiated by the Syrian Canteen
in the wake of the revolts which shook the world in 2019. They aimed to
bring together revolutionaries from across the world, to share
experiences of the struggles in their territories and strengthen our
collective capacities for mutual aid and analysis.

At the last edition, two years ago, in Montreuil (a Paris suburb) we
made a promise to head South. We wanted to move away from Europe in
order to continue our efforts to build a transnational network rooted in
the experience of popular uprising, exile and territorial autonomy. We
began working with local venues and collectives in Lebanon, planning for
our first edition outside of France. Unfortunately, due to the war waged
by the Israeli occupation in Lebanon, in addition to the ongoing
genocide in Palestine, our plans had to be postponed.

So, let’s head to Marseille ! A city of resistance and migration, a city
of South-South crossroads.

We will be joined by some sixty guests from over 40 countries to share
experiences on a broad range of topics. These include : building
political organisations in exile ; imperialisms and the liberation
struggles in Kanaky, Taiwan, Palestine and Georgia ; repositioning queer
and feminist struggles in the face of threats of instumentalisation ;
resisting fascist offensives and giving consistency to a revolutionary
movement that is both already here and yet to be built.

We will host discussions, exhibitions, screenings, concerts, workshops
and radio talks.
