Folk Punk & Poetry: As Bravas, Efa Supertramp, Rootweave
Short url:
Come through on January 14th at 5pm to hear from 3 radical and rebellious acts: As Bravas (Galicia) Efa supertramp (Wales) and Ropotweave (UK) performing free (donations always appreciated to take the winter gloom away. As Bravas: Antia Eseuve and Ava Brava (Galicia) are two artists and childhood friends that get together to create a hybrid project between folk music and poetry. At the moment they are presenting Ava's first self published chapbook-zine "Creo que mi casa está en llamas" (I think my house is on fire) exploring themes of traveling, living in constant change, transit and uncertainty. Together as As Bravas they sing and imagine new ways to inhabit our homes, our journeys, our communities and our bodies. Efa Supertramp: (Wales) This Welsh folk-punk grrrl comes armed with a battered acoustic guitar and a powerful voice. She has toured extensively across Europe – appearing at festivals, bars, squats, venues, living rooms and street corners to perform her songs in both Welsh and English. With just her guitar, some well-placed anger and a whole load of love to give she will bring a tear to your eye and some fire in your heart.

They tie together stories of grief, curiosity, loss, ancestry, friendship and exploration of the pysche and the wild world.https://rootweavemusic.bandcamp.comGet cozy on this sunday eve and start your year right by the fire of music!
