The Forest Fields Social Club (FFSC) is a private members club – a space where people can socialise, organise and meet with like-minded people. It’s not controlled by a landlord, you (the membership) do that. Membership is easy, and guests are very welcome!
Like the Sumac Centre, the bar is run entirely by volunteers. There are no paid staff. The day-to-day running of the bar is carried out by volunteers from the club membership. As members of the club you are encouraged to participate to help run it and make it a better space. When we achieve a society without bosses there will be no servants!
Fridays: Bar 6pm – 10pm
Saturdays: Bar 2pm – 10pm with food  from from 4pm.
Subject to change if events and fundraisers are booked in.
Sundays: Brunch 11am – 2pm and Bar from 2pm with bar snacks, including Samosas for Social Change, vegan sausage rolls & cake.
The Sumac Centre bar plays an important role at the Sumac – it helps to make peoples kitchen, gigs and other fund raisers more complete, is available on request to be open any day of the week for one-off events and aims to be a safe place where people can relax and have a drink. Furthermore the bar helps to keep the Sumac open as all profits are paid to the Centre.
The Bar is run by volunteers and your help is welcome, either by joining the bar group, or simply by being a responsible drinker & helping to keep the bar as you would like to find it.
