Revolting Bodies #2- Work + Madness
Short url:
Join us for a series of poetry workshops lead by poet and writer Eleanor Penny.
Over three sessions, we’ll explore stories of queer and feminine life in resistance – at the kitchen sink, in the bedroom, in the hospital, on the streets. We’ll delve into the MayDay archives, looking at queer zines, feminist poetics and strike agitprop, asking how storytelling and poetry can become an act of resistance. With playful prompts and new editing techniques, we’ll think about how to wreak havoc in the first drafts and challenge our writing in the editing process.
SESSION #2 – WORK + MADNESS
tearing the kitchen sink off the wall // keeping eachother alive // my boss is a baby // my boss thinks I need to be purified of sin // my boss is boring // Dolly Parton is the people’s champion
