FEMME FUNDRAISER! BUTCH BENEFIT! Help save the PIC!

We are organising a dyke brunch to fundraise for the PIC, who may be facing eviction from their vital location in Amsterdam’s Red Light District.

The PIC provides free information to visitors about the Red Light District and s3x work in the Netherlands, houses an archive on s3x work and is a community centre for s3x workers themselves. Over the past 30 years, this small centre has served many tens of thousands of visitors. These are often tourists, students and researchers but also locals, clients, s3x workers themselves, aid workers, journalists, civil servants and politicians. The PIC also maintains the beautiful statue of s3x worker Belle on the Oudekerksplein.

The Amsterdam Dyke March stands in solidarity with the people who run the PIC as well as the community that relies on them as a resource and space, and for this reason we are organising this fundraiser.

*NieuwLand is wheelchair accessible, but the toilets are not. There are a few (3 or 4) steps leading up to them.
