The neighborhood meeting in Althangrund is meant to give different people the opportunity to get in touch with each other.
Today's capitalism, with its egoistic greed for profit as its driving force, leads far too often to isolation. Outside of work, school, studies and family, we rarely get to talk to people outside our bubble. On the train, everyone is looking at their mobile phones, to the bar we mainly go with people we know already and In our houses, there are hardly ever common rooms where people from different flats can meet.
We want to change that - so every Sunday we invite everyone who wants to to cook and eat together to Althangrund! People who otherwise pass each other by without a word can get to know each other here.
Let's talk to the people who live right next to us - maybe they have the same problems as we do, maybe we can support each other.
We especially want to address people who live nearby, but everyone can come. No matter how old you are, no matter what language you speak, no matter how much cooking experience you have, no matter if or what you work at - cooking and eating connects us. And together we are strong, if we stand together we can change things.
You can simply come to eat with us on Sundays from 17:30 or cook with us from 15:00. The whole thing costs nothing. (If you can donate something, you can, but you don't have to).
We can talk (or not) without pressure and find out how we are doing in these times, what bothers us, what makes us happy, what burdens us & what we would like to change.
There will also be a bar with drinks (with fair prices, but you can also bring your own drinks).
